Cate Hummel - This program explores a wide variety of sonic landscapes in music for flute, piccolo and alto flute, either alone or with recorded tracks. Music by Eve Beglarian, Carlos Knight González, Jay Batzner, Daniel Dorff, Adina Izarra and Elizabeth Brown.
Cate Hummel performs at Chicago Flute Club Festival 2019: World of Flutes
Cate Hummel premieres Cardinal Songs by Adina Izarra, written to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Chicago Flute Club. Also performing El Amolador by Adina Izarra and presenting an interactive workshop on the 24 Little Melodic Studies of Marcel Moyse. Ticket information at chicagofluteclub.org
"How to Forge a Fabulous Foursome" Conference of ISMTA
Piano a la Quartette will be presenting "How to Forge a Fabulous Foursome" at the Illinois State Music Teachers conference Nov 1, 2019 at 3:30. The conference will be held at Eastern Illinois University In Charlston IL. This exploration of 2piano 8hands literature will be performed by members Evelyn Binz, Bette Coulson, Emi Murata, and Pat Rusk.
